Camp Rangers Over the Years

The Ranger position is a critical one at the heart of any Scout Camp. They are a jack of all trades keeping the grounds maintained, repairing facilities, and constructing buildings. At Fire Mountain we have had a history of outsanding Camp Rangers.

Dennis Ross - 1991 - 2012

Steve Becvar - 2012 - 2023

Steve served many years as Scoutmaster of Troop 50 in Snohmish. During the Troop's summer camp attendance at FMSC, Steve and his Troop designed and implemented significant improvements to their campsite. Steve's leadership was the inspiration for the current FMSC campsite design and amenities. While serving effectively as Ranger for 11-years, Steve also served as Construction Manager for numerouos new facilities and overall modernization of Fire Mountain Scout camp and its goal to attain a Legendary Camp vision.
