Scouts BSA Camp Program
Fire Mountain features programs and merit badge instruction in all of these areas:
- Aquatics - swimming and boating
- COPE/Climbing - high/low COPE courses, zipline and 40-foot climbing/rappelling tower
- Crafts - basketry, leatherwork, art, woodcarving
- Nature / Conservation - traditional nature merit badge education
- Outdoor Skills - traditional Scout skills like first aid, pioneering, cooking, orienteering
- Pathfinders - a first year scout program
- Shooting Sports - archery, .22 caliber rifle, shotgun (modern and black powder)
Many programs outside of merit badge instruction focus on encouraging the Patrol Method, providing time in the afternoon's and evening's to do activities together as a patrol.
